I fly like a bird that has lost its wings,
Trying so hard to reach that sapphire sky,
Chained to the ground by these treacherous strings.
Getting lost in the hopes brought on by spring,
Yet still with sorrow, I can never deny,
I fly like a bird that has lost its wings.
I’m bound here, as if this tent were a fairy’s ring,
At times, so frustrated I wonder how I don’t cry,

Wandering amidst these trees, hearing the birds sing,
From my lips escapes a weary sigh.
